36 Chambers Series
The title of the book series is inspired by the 1978 movie, Enter the 36 Chambers of Shaolin, a martial arts classic. The story is of a Shaolin monastery with 36 chambers; a story of strength that inspired the homonym debut LP by the Wu-Tang Clan, a milestone of hardcore rap in the 1990s.
The same philosophy, 36 books in three years, available individually or as 3 boxed sets is the key to the project that DRAGO has undertaken, working with the main characters of the international independent scene.
Each volume represents a room where artists will express their core work. DRAGO has imposed limitations on the artists, as they can only use black, white and one colour of their choice. This limited palette has been chosen to free their creativity.
The result is a mix of pure impressions, going back to their artistic roots combined with the contemporary taste for work that mixes tradition & experimentation.
