Last Thursday was possibly one of the hottest days in New York so far this summer (and its only June). Despite the heat Dead Letter Playground opened at Leo Kesting Gallery, which featured close to 30 artists including, Chris Stain, Dick Chicken, Doze Green, Elbow Toe, Ellis G, Faro, Gaia, Know Hope, Love Me, and Sweet Toof - and the gallery was packed. So much so, that I had a hard time getting in all the shots.
With ice cold Miller High Life's abound, it didn't seem to be enough to keep the crowd from sweating bullets, however the sweaty masses didn't seem to be bothered and stuck it out, sipping casually, with the occasional frosty beer can to the forehead with the initiative to hang out and see what was going on around them and on the walls.
The show is up until July 18th. Make sure to head over to the Meat-Packing district and check it out!
