Drago is proud to present Estevan Oriol and his newest book LA Woman in a European Tour de Fuerza, which will fly the artist in frenetic rhythms from one capital to the next, from interviews to parties, from art fairs and trade shows to gallery exhibitions and fashion events. Estevan Oriol is ready to hit Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Milan, Bologna, and Rome and demonstrate the West Coast aesthetic, one for which his work has been so influential: the sensuality of the women of Los Angeles.
LA Woman brings a whole new meaning to what it means to be sexy. Oriol’s work has captured the essence of this fresh aesthetic and presents it in a way that has never before been seen in such a strong and articulate creative voice. His distinctive style and clear command of the camera has produced a collection of photographs that has allowed his work to enter the realm of the fine arts.
The Drago Crew will begin in Paris where Oriol will be participating in Back In the Days. The hippest thing since hip-hop, this event of freestyle performances and live graffiti productions represents what it really means to be “old school.”
After Paris the tour will continue on to Berlin for Bread & Butter, the most important trade fair in Europe for those responsible for the coolest lines of urban and street wear fashions. Drago will be presenting LA Woman alongside Oriol and Joker Brand Clothing as an example of pure West Coast style.
From there the group will fly to Barcelona to present Oriol’s book at the Montana Shop and Gallery, a favorite among graffiti writers that doubles as a gallery and store and specializes in street culture. In addition Oriol will attend a conference hosted by FNAC where fans will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with the artist.
Again the team will pack its bags and fly over to Milan for a book signing at WAG, Italy’s first street culture concept store and mecca of all things hip-hop.
The tour will then hit Bologna for Arte Fiera, the international contemporary art fair and exhibition before heading for its grand finale in Rome.
Once in the Eternal City, he will be participating in a group show at Mondo Bizzarro titled Ultra Erotica to present his selection of the best photographs from LA Woman. The last night of the tour will be an event called Fashion on Paper, the first independent publishing festival organized by AltaRoma at the Temple of Hadrian. For the occasion of AltaRomaAltaModa Oriol will be available to sign copies of the newly release book amongst other performances, dj sets, video presentations, and fashion talks that are to take place throughout the evening.
