Some people view books as a thing of the past. However others, who fear that staring at a computer screen all day risks premature blindness, hold onto books as though "new book smell" will be the saving grace in this technologically fast-paced world. Cell phones and personal computers were like the white man to the Indian not so long ago, but these days 7 year olds have blackberries and iPhones and know how to use them better than their own parents. What happened to the kids who needed their parents' help with their algebra homework? If you're anything like us, you do love your bbm and your Shazam, but you also miss a good beanbag chair and a book. Here we have selected a couple of the places where we like to give our pixelated eyes a rest and read something that doesn't come on a Kindle.
