Nick Walker is one of the most famous stencil artists and A Sequence of Events contains a series of stencil images revealing a progression of his work over the last couple of years. Some of the pages show some of the endeavors of the vandal character and the means he uses to spread his message. He also shows movement within the pages as if parts of the book were a ‘flip book’ displaying the act of vandalism.
There will also be a collection of new stencil works in the pages which are either currently in the making or have yet to be produced. Nick Walker got his start during the infamous Wild Bunch/Bristol scene of the early 1980’s. He has always been a pioneer in his field. Constantly seeking to evolve and test the boundaries of traditional graffiti in his combinations of freehand work with intricate stencil images. Since then Nick has had a sell‐out show at the Carmichael Gallery in LA, created a new collection of works for The Black Rat Gallery in Shoreditch. Setting a record for the longest queue time as nearly 100 fans slept on the street for over 35 hours before of the show opening.
