I Mutanti is the exhibition catalog for the Villa Medici exhibition of the same title. The catalog is made up of five volumes that correspond to the five artists participating in the show. This five-volume catalog represents the work of the some most controversial and thought-provoking artists of the 21st century. Each fifty-six-page volume can be acquired individually or together as the full collection. Each book includes a montage of over 25 full color images prepared by the respective artist and texts in three languages (French, Italian, and English) by Villa Medici director, Eric de Chassey.
Adrian Paci was born in Shkoder, Albania and currently lives and works in Milan, Italy. His work addresses the radical political shifts in his homeland and his experiences as an exile. His artistic vision and voice has redefined the reality of his experiences at home and abroad, making art and life one and the same. His work reflects public and private life in an effort to understand how we proceed in today’s world. His work seeks to define how identity is shaped and conditioned by globalization and multiculturalism.
