OVER FORTY MASTERPIECES FROM THE GREAT FRENCH ARTIST, NICOLAS POUSSIN
With the catalogue Poussin and Moses, from drawing to tapestry, DRAGO’s partnership with The French Academy of Rome – Villa Medici continues. The Poussin and Moses, from drawing to tapestry exhibition, which was carried out in collaboration with the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, brings more than 40 masterpieces by the great French artist Nicolas Poussin together for the first time. Among these works, all of which are dedicated to the life of Moses, are tapestries, drawings, incisions, and paintings, all coming from the most prestigious British, Italian, and French museums. From an editorial view, the catalogue sets itself apart by being presented in a box-set composed of two volumes, the first of which includes iconografic materials, and the second of which includes critical texts by Éric de Chassey, Guillaume Ambroise e Bernard Schotter. Critical essays by Marc Bayard, Pascal Bertrand, Olivier Bonfait, Arnauld Brejon de Lavergnée, Daniela Del Pesco, Marc Favreau, Marc Fumaroli, Henry Keazor e Jean Vittet.
